Tour the Store

Quality, uniqueness and locally sourced is important to us! We support our local artists and regional businesses whenever possible.

When you walk in the front door one of the first things you will see are the locally made Stormy Kromers. We offer a large selection of  their hats, mittens and scarves for the whole family, including the dog!

In our book room you will find children’s books, local history, ID books, mysteries, Ojibwe folk lore and more. Authors such as Jim Harrison, Sigured Olson, Kent Nerburn,  Louise Erdrich, Barbara Kingsolver, Steve Hamilton, Joseph Heywood, Stan Tekiela, and Carl Samms frequent our shelves. We also host many local authors and book signings!

One of our most popular items of 2018 have been Starling hats of Poland! They are exceptionally made and BEAUTIFUL.

We also carry Wigwam socks and hats in a variety of sizes and styles!

Much of our jewelry is also locally made. We proudly carry Isle Royale and Keweenaw green stone, datolite and agate jewelry by silversmith Paul Fetting; hand crafted copper and stainless steel jewelry by 2 Harbors Copper; hand stamped copper and stainless steel jewelry by L.L. Always and hand crafted jewelry by Ojibwe artist Mark Shelafoe.

One of our all time favorites is Hatley of Canada. Their line of infant, toddler and children’s pajamas are are hard to pass up! We also carry matching socks and slippers as well as adults socks .Their funny magnetic pads are a great stocking stuffer and the coffee mugs will make you laugh too!

Of course we carry an abundance of t-shirts, hoodies, fleeces, sweat and yoga pants too. Bohemia Shirt Co. has been a great addition in recent years. They print all garments with non-toxic water based inks and even some pigment dyes! Lakeshirts is another one of our favorite shirt companies who has been serving us for over 20 years. Their local sales reps help keep us up-to-date with all the latest styles and designs.
